The Brute is a classic, archetypal warrior in the terms of a role-playing game like Dungeons & Dragons.
Gloomhaven cragheart series#
I will cover every character instead! Each post in this series will cover two of the characters, starting with the initial characters and then covering those who can be unlocked.

I would never attempt to cover every scenario. It covers an entire book of nearly one hundred scenarios. Is it a board game? Is it a role-playing game? Personally I feel that it’s a little bit of both. This series of articles will cover one of the most detailed games conceived. It is almost impossible to talk about Gloomhaven without spoiling something for someone. If this bothers you, then only read to the level you have attained. That is also not the point of the game though, the intent is to experience as much of it as you want.ĭisclaimer #2: If you are currently playing or considering playing this game, I will be discussing components of this game you may not have unlocked yet, such as higher level cards and items you may not have. It would take significant effort to experience the entire game and all the content in it. I unlocked substantial content (including all the classes), but I did not experience the entire game. In the campaign of Gloomhaven that I played, I played the game over sixty times in order to experience the whole story. Gloomhaven is as much an experience as a game. There’s gotta be a price to team up with someone as fantastic as the crafheart.Disclaimer: Gloomhaven is massive. This is unavoidable, just make sure they understand.

Many of his abilities are multi-target, so the average damage of the Cragheart is often surpassed only by the scoundrel. The cragheart has decent ranged abilities which he can buff well with backup amunition and the bottom ability of heaving swing. Comparable to the other six starting classes, his good points are: He’s neither mobile or subtle, has strong shooting attacks and can take a beating. Playing the Cragheart is a bit comparable to sailing a battleship. The Cragheart above would be a decent earth priest or earth-themed druid. The best thing, they are roughly 28mm, so they can fill a role in Kings of War and/orVanguard if I want to. The Gloomhaven models aren’t the best I’ve ever painted, but are decently enough to enjoy doing so. So much that I spent some time painting the character I play, a Savvas Cragheart. (for those who don’t know, Gloomhaven doesn’t have anything to do with Kings of War, its a cooperative board game with legacy features)
